How to stay motivated daily? Motivation doesn’t last hence the need to renew it each and every day.

1. Have a vision for yourself

A vision should be large enough to keep you motivated. The word motivation is derived from the root word “motive” which in essence means “a reason to act”. This helps to bring out the practical side of motivation which would help you in progressing towards your vision. It is imperative to set out a vision and a game plan for getting there. If you envisage yourself in a skinny by the end of the year, work to achieve it with daily workout regimens.

2. Follow your passion

Daily motivation that stems from an emotion like passion can be a very powerful catalyst. Passion has to be fueled into a consuming desire to achieve your goals and vision, whatever they maybe. Fuel your passion and use it to your advantage!

3. Track results

Results can help to keep you motivated. The better results you get, the more it will keep you motivated to achieve more. If your goal is to lose weight, then losing the first few pounds is great motivation. When that belt buckle moves to the next groove it will egg you on to get it to the one beyond that!

4. Read and listen to inspiring stories

Reading good books with inspiring successes stories can help to keep yourself motivated to achieve your own! Reading such books can help you learn new ideas and skills. There is story being told and being made everyday that will fuel your daily motivation and push you towards your goals only if you look for it.

5. Ride the wave when it comes

Sometimes it just takes one of those to get you rolling! So when you do start clicking, try to keep the momentum going as it will help you get larger gains in a shorter period of time. When you are feeling good about how your workouts are going, ride the momentum and get as much out of it as you can!

6. Pamper yourself

It is always a good idea to reward yourself on the accomplishment of a fitness goal or milestone. A treat, an evening out, or some other “indulgence” can go a long way in keeping you motivated.

7. Experiment with something new

A new experience can help to inject a dose of excitement and help you discover a side of you that you didn’t know existed. For example if you have always restricted yourself to solitary pursuits it would be a great idea to sign up for a team sport. Or try out something you’ve always tried to evade like river rafting or rock climbing! You may be surprised at the positive outcomes. Discovering that you are good at something is always a good motivator!

8. Find a workout partner

Hanging out with someone who shares similar goals like yours can help to keep both of you motivated. Exercise buddies do add a social element to any fitness routine. It is difficult to skip a workout when someone is waiting for you. Isn’t it?

9. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you miss one workout!

Sticking to a fitness regimen is difficult in our busy lives with unforeseen engagements, illness and setbacks cropping up every now and then. However be sure not to let these few missed workouts snowball into a month of unfulfilled resolutions.

10. Reward yourself to a fitness gadget or accessory! 

Fitness trackers and bands, heart rate monitors, food dairies and other exercise gadgets can help to make your workouts more fun and engaging. Seeing the number of calories you burnt during your workouts can help to keep you motivated and on track to achieve your goals.
